“首付”的英语不是“first pay”,地道表达是“down payment”。
“down payment”的含义与用法
“down payment”指在购买商品(尤其是房产、车辆等大额商品)时,最初支付的一部分款项,也就是首付款。
常用搭配是“make / put a down payment on...”,意思是“付了……的首付款”。例如:He made a down payment of $100000 for the house.(他买这房子第一期付款10万元。)
